OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 10/10/2025, at approximately 4:25 p.m., several Greeley Police officers attempted to apprehend a man wanted on misdemeanor and felony charges in the 600 block of 27th Street Road in Garden City, Colorado. The suspect fled on foot, and officers pursued him. Police fired less-lethal impact rounds, but the man did not surrender. According to investigators, the man then turned and had a firearm, and officers opened fire. He was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead. The 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team is investigating.
