OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On October 20, 2025, officers with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Division pursued a reportedly stolen van on the 110 Freeway. During the pursuit, the male driver attempted to climb out of the moving van’s driver-side window while traveling on the northbound side. He landed on the center divider and fell into southbound lanes, where he was struck by multiple vehicles and killed. Police shut down the freeway and surrounded the area. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the incident.
