On October 27, 2025, officers with the Vancouver Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Northeast Cherry Road in Vancouver. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds inside the complex. The man was pronounced dead at the scene. Police determined the suspects had fled toward Portland, Oregon, in a red Lexus. Authorities from multiple agencies, including Portland Police and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, joined the search.
