OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On the morning of October 26, 2025, officers of the Howard County Police Department attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 2013 Honda Accord near Maryland Route 29 and Rogers Avenue in Ellicott City. The driver did not stop. The officer allegedly did not engage in a pursuit but shortly thereafter, the vehicle struck a utility pole on Rogers Avenue just south of Faber Way and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation.
