OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Around 7:30 a.m. on 08/06/2023, Lenexa PD spotted a stolen vehicle at QuikTrip at 95th Street and Interstate 35 in Lenexa. The driver struck a Lenexa police patrol car and left the scene. Police escalated a chase onto northbound I-35 to Lamar Avenue in Mission. Two people then ran into the QuikTrip at 4700 Lamar Ave. Police from multiple agencies went inside QuikTrip and got into a shootout. The man was shot and killed by an unknown number of officers.
