On 11/08/2025, police escalated a chase of a silver sedan after a reported street-racing incident crashed into a crowded bar on 7th Avenue in Tampa’s Ybor City district. While being chased at high speed, the vehicle lost control at high speed and slammed through the LGBTQ bar’s front wall, killing 4people and injuring 13 others. The driver was taken into custody. The Florida Highway Patrol and Tampa Police Department are investigating.
