On 08/05/2023 , a vehicle crashed on the 2400 block of Northwest Loop 410 as a result of a police chase that began when San Antonio PD attempted a traffic stop but the driver slowly drove away. Police turned off their emergency lights and followed the vehicle onto the access road of IH-10 Northbound and Northwest Loop 410.The driver made a left turn, going across lanes of traffic when it was hit by a pickup truck. The man died at the scene.
