On 03/24/2021, a 35-year-old man suspected of breaking into parked vehicles near the Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook (9500 block of Jefferson Boulevard) in Culver City initiated a pursuit after police located his vehicle near Obama Boulevard and Hauser Boulevard. The suspect failed to stop for officers, leading to a high-speed chase that ended in a crash in which the driver was killed.
