On June 13, 2021, Border Patrol agents pursued a truck driven by 17-year-old Anahi Ramos near Uvalde, Texas. The vehicle was being chased very fast through populated areas when it crashed into two other vehicles near the center of town. Ramos and a male passenger in her truck were killed. Eight other people in the vehicles involved sustained non-critical injuries.
