Bell County Sheriff’s deputies arrived in the Bradfordtown community to arrestPaul Holland on 08/28/2023. A woman who tried to hide him was arrested. Holland was hiding behind a car with two handguns and was shot and killed.

Sheriff’s Office, along with the Sulphur Police Department, Louisiana State Police and other agencies started a joint manhunt after a vehicle refused a traffic stop that began when a Cameron Parish deputy on patrol escalated a chase. Police allege that the fleeing driver began firing at the deputy, striking the patrol unit several times. Other agencies joined the hunt as it continued into Calcasieu Parish. The driver crashed his vehicle near Highway 108 and Gum Island Road, again being involved with officers firing at him and allegedly firing back. He was found dead. Police claim not to know whether he was shot by officers or died of a self-inflicted gunshot. Police did not publicly identify him nor publicly provide any BWC or other evidence.

Someone in a home on the 4500 block of Woodland Drive pushed a medical alert button during a baby shower and said that a person was in the home threatening to kill them. IMPD arrived and brought SWAT who threw flashbang grenades and other less lethal devices into the home. Gilbert reportedly moved toward a SWAT officer and touched his shield. SWAT officer Lt. John Perkins shot and killed him. He is believed to have been unarmed with final confirmation pending from IMPD.

Marion PD were sent to a “shots fired” call and claim that they found a man holding a handgun. He ran away and allegedly dropped the gun on command but was not cooperative with arrest. Sumter County deputies chased Ravon Harris for a previous dispute with someone else. Police escalated a chase over 100 mph until the vehicle flipped over and was engulfed in fire, severely injuring the teenager. He died at the hospital later. Andrew Jerome Washington was in an agitated state, having a mental health crisis when police appeared with SWAT and according to the family, they escalated an already tense situation. Washington had a knife in his hand when he stepped toward the invading SWAT officers. They shot and killed him. It is believed that this took place inside of his home. Family members state that he had once had a mental health crisis 12 years prior and that he had been shot in his arm then and he became defensive and agitated when SWAT attacked him in his home during the fatal attack. Neighbors and witnesses were critical of the police handling of the situation.

South Portland PD arrived on a call for domestic violence. The man they were looking for had already left the apartment. Police allege that he returned and “engaged in an armed confrontation” with police. They shot and killed him.

Celina PD at 2 a.m. arrived at a park conducting an investigation into possible marijuana smell coming from a car. Police began an altercation and Andrew allegedly refused to exit his car and instead tried to drive away. He drove past an officer who fell down and hit his head. Celina PD then fired shots into the moving vehicle, killing Corey Andrew, 24, in front of his girlfriend Hannah Pawelski and their newborn baby who were fortunate not to be hit by police shooting at the vehicle. Police allege that he “drove toward police” and released partial dashcam and bodycam videos linked below. Andrew appeared to try to drive past the officer and did not make any visible turns to try to hit him. Police later claimed that he tried to run the officer over. This is not seen on video and he appeared to try to drive away, did not touch the officer who is seen falling on his own. Police Chief Tom Wale stated: “So independent investigators, independent prosecutor presenting it to the grand jury to determine that the officers are justified," seemingly revealing that the anticipated outcome that this killing will be Justified by a grand jury may be predetermined. Ohio police created this incident by attempting to make a petty cannabis possession bust and ended up executing a young father who tried to drive away from the confrontation.

Newnan PD saw a Corvette with dark window tint and took up chase. The chase escalated until the man stopped. Police released a K9 and allege that he exited the car and came toward them with a knife and injured the K9.

Bystander video later showed a very different narrative in which the car stopped at the end of the chase, deputies are seen busting out the car windows, sending a K9 into the vehicle that dragged a black man out. The man ran away from the car to escape the dog that was biting at his arm. His arms were pointed downward in gestures protecting his body from the attacking dog and on video, he had no visible weapon and shielded against the dog attack. Police shot and killed him. Media submitted the privately acquired heavily edited BWC footage that edited the killing out while police refuse to provide any video or reports at all. The initial police story was proven by video to be untruthful.

Police reports say a driver who was being chased stopped in Dallas on eastbound Interstate 20 near South Polk. But police say before he could be arrested, he died by suicide. Police did not publicly identify him and did not say why they were chasing him.

Bakersfield PD received a 911 call about a burglary in progress from a community member. When they arrived at the address, they found the “community member“ who had called them was also the same person who opened fire on Jason Taylor Boles who was also reserve officer with Bakersfield PD and that no burglary had taken place. Columbus Division of Police arrived at a home on Marion Road North to arrest Jamie David Overstreet for warrants for violation of a protective order. He was leaving the home when police arrived and police escalated a chase, also hunting him by helicopter. Police allege that he stopped his vehicle, got out, pointed a gun and that officers shot and killed him. No BWC released so far documenting these police claims.

On 10/26/2023, the coroner revealed that Overstreet died from a single bullet to his back.The bullet struck Overstreet in the back of his torso, going through tissue and hitting his right carotid artery, according to the report. It is unclear how police shot a running man in his back while claiming they had feared for their lives when he ran away from the confrontation.

On August 24, 2023, the decedent was sitting in his parked car in rural Susquehanna County at Lewis Lake. He had recently moved back from Florida to a childhood home near the lake where his family owned land and was visiting the area. A Pennsylvania State Police trooper arrived and according to his messages to family, the trooper harassed him, possibly for a second time within several days.

On 08/24/2023, the man was in his car by the lake when he was again approached by what is believed to be the same local trooper. He was able to respond, answered the trooper's questions that yes, he had legal guns packed and locked away in the back of the vehicle when asked about guns. He was moving back to PA and had his belongings with him and answered truthfully that everything including guns were stowed away in the car. He was able to text message this information to his family during the stop.

It is unknown what happened to escalate things but the trooper after an argument fired 10 bullets in his face, killing him.

PSP claims that they do not have any BWC footage. They refuse to disclose the name of the shooter trooper but expect the family to believe the undocumented narrative that he had made a threatening move during the traffic stop that required this point blank execution. The family is unable to get any more information nor his belongings back to date while PSP are investigating themselves. THe man's identity is known and withheld per the family's request.
