OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
Houston PD arrived at a burglary-in-progress call and found 2 people inside of a Kingwood home on the 2900 block of Woodland Avenue. They ran from police, were chased and when police caught up with one of them, a fight ensued. Police allege that the man “displayed a weapon” and was shot in his head and killed. Bodycam footage was provided 30 days later, was heavily edited and a still frame was pointed out by police showing a gun. Police claim the still photo came from the bodycam video but this is not seen on video.
