On 07/26/2021, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department pursued a vehicle reported stolen near the Garfield Park area on the south side of Indianapolis. The vehicle reached speeds of approximately 60 mph during the chase. The pursuit ended when the driver lost control and crashed in the 4500 block of Madison Avenue, resulting in the death of the driver.
