REASON FOR POLICE CHASE:
Outstanding felony warrants. At approximately 3:30 a.m., an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officer saw Edward Baxter driving a 2001 Buick LeSabre near Kentucky Avenue and South Tibbs Avenue and recognized him as a person with active felony warrants. On 10/24/2025, 33-year-old Alicia Nicole Lane was killed while riding in the front passenger seat of a Buick LeSabre driven by Edward Baxter during an Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department pursuit on the city's southwest side. Baxter crashed the Buick into a semi-truck at Raymond and Harding streets.
