On 12/03/2025 at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a welfare check at a residence on Apple Blossom Drive, following a report that a man might be suicidal. On arrival, they made contact and found the man holding a handgun to his head. Trained negotiators arrived and attempted to de-escalate the situation for over an hour. When officers perceived a threat, they fired at the man. He was rendered aid by the fire department but later died from his gunshot wounds.
