On 12/01/2025, deputies and investigators arrived at a home on GA 20 Spur in connection with an ongoing investigation. The man refused to exit the home and a standoff followed. Deputies deployed less lethal rounds. The man later raised what appeared to be a long gun. Deputies opened fire and killed him. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is reviewing the shooting.
