On 12/02/2025, officers responded to a residence on Oaklawn Avenue. The man inside exchanged gunfire with police during a long standoff. During the encounter he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound while officers were present. After the standoff police discovered a decomposed body in the home along with explosive devices.
