OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/05/2025, deputies responded to a domestic battery call at the Jamison Apartments in Kissimmee. The man locked himself inside the unit and a standoff lasted for several hours as negotiators and family tried to persuade him to surrender. During the standoff he streamed on Facebook Live, showed a handgun and made suicidal statements. Deputies later deployed a chemical agent to force him out. He came out lying on the ground but still held the gun and fired a shot. Deputies opened fire and killed him. Residents described the scene as tense with tactical teams, shields and patrol cars surrounding the complex for much of the day.
