On 12/03/2025, deputies attempted to serve a search warrant at a home in the Eagle Ranch neighborhood of Victorville. Charles Murray was inside the residence when deputies entered, and he fired multiple rounds at them, including at a sheriff helicopter circling overhead. He moved through the house and into the backyard while continuing to fire. Deputies opened fire and killed him.
