OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/06/2025 at around 9:30 p.m., two Anaheim police officers patrolling the 800 block of South Philadelphia Street encountered several people in front of a residence. A confrontation followed and one officer fired, striking Albert Arzola, 19, who died at the scene. Officers recovered at least one firearm near the incident. More than a dozen individuals were detained, and one person was later hospitalized after being struck by a non-lethal projectile while a crowd gathered. Anaheim Police Homicide Detectives, the Orange County District Attorney’s Office, and Internal Affairs are investigating the shooting.
