On 11/21/2025, around midnight in Reseda, Los Angeles police responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call near Sherman Way and Wilbur Avenue. Officers, assisted by a police helicopter, located a suspect in front of a 7-Eleven convenience store. When officers confronted the man, an officer-involved shooting occurred. The suspect was struck by gunfire, taken into custody, and later pronounced dead. Police recovered a handgun at the scene. No officers were injured and the investigation is ongoing.
