OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/07/2025 officers responded to reports of a man with a firearm near 7th Avenue and Beardsley Road. Police located Michael Frank Breuer who was holding a handgun. Officers stated that he did not follow commands to drop the weapon and moved toward them while raising the gun. Police opened fire and shot him. He was transported to a hospital where he died. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is conducting the investigation.
