OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/08/2025 deputies responded to a domestic call in Bullard. The situation escalated into a standoff that lasted for hours. During the standoff the man shot himself while officers surrounded the home. Two deputies were injured, one from shrapnel and one from a medical issue. The man died from the self inflicted wound. Texas Rangers are investigating.
