OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On December 16, 2025, deputies with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office were conducting a proactive traffic enforcement stop near the 300 block of Virginia Street NE as part of an Auto Theft Operation. When the motorcycle operator did not comply and fled on foot, deputies established a perimeter and located the individual on the 300 block of Wisconsin Street NE. During this later encounter, deputies fired their weapons and 42-year-old Marc Dutch was killed by gunshot at the scene. No deputies were injured. The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident and will release additional details when available.
