On 12/18/2025, Pablo A. “Paul” Alvarez, age 16, was walking along Clinton Street in West Seneca, New York, when he was struck and killed by a vehicle driven by an off-duty Cheektowaga Town Police Department officer in his personal truck. Alvarez was pronounced dead at the scene. The New York Attorney General’s Office is investigating the incident, as required in any fatality involving a law enforcement officer. Family and community members mourned Alvarez as a beloved teen with a wonderful spirit.
