OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 01/26/2021, Adams County sheriff’s deputies were searching for a suspected stolen gray Jeep SUV in the Aurora area during the early morning hours. Deputies later located the vehicle abandoned and continued searching nearby properties. According to authorities, deputies encountered two women on a property and were alerted that one of them was armed. During the encounter, deputies opened fire and Harmony Wolfgram was shot and killed. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She had been unarmed. The district attorney later reviewed the case and ruled the shooting justified. The officers were cleared.
