OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 02/14/2021, around 2:30 a.m., Bingham County sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence in Blackfoot. Deputies reported that Bruce Diehl was barricaded inside the home and fired multiple rounds from within. Deputies attempted to negotiate a surrender, but police said Diehl continued firing from inside the residence. Deputies opened fire and killed Diehl at the scene.
