On 02/15/2021, Royce Robertson was involved in a dispute with another driver in Indian Wells. Deputies reported that Robertson exited his vehicle and confronted the other driver. Deputies later followed Robertson and encountered him again. According to police, Robertson pulled out an air pistol during the confrontation. Deputies opened fire and shot Robertson multiple times, killing him at the scene.
