OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 04/29/2021, officers stopped Joe Robideau during a traffic stop in Lincoln County. During the encounter, an officer was shot in the leg. Robideau then continued driving away from the scene. Police chased the vehicle and later located Robideau again in the Troy area. According to police statements, Robideau exited his vehicle while holding a firearm and shots were exchanged. Officers opened fire, killing Robideau at the scene.
