On 05/27/2021, Clarksville police officers responded to a call to the 3300 block of Durrett Drive regarding a man reported to be suicidal. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, officers located Andre Luiz Snyder in the backyard of a residence and attempted to de-escalate the situation. Police reported that during the encounter, Snyder fired a weapon. Officers then fired their weapons, shooting and killing him at the scene. No officers were charged, and no final prosecutorial outcome beyond the initial review was publicly reported.
