OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 05/31/2021, Jemison police officers responded to a residence on County Road 954 after receiving reports that a man was threatening two other men with a firearm. Officers arrived and observed Roger Dale Keller holding a gun in the front yard. According to police, as an officer exited his patrol vehicle, Keller turned toward the officer and shots were exchanged. Keller was struck and died at the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s investigation did not result in any publicly reported criminal charges against the officer involved.
