OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 06/07/2021, Scottsbluff police officers responded to a residence on West Overland after receiving reports that Daniel Ojeda may be armed and had made threats to himself or others. While officers were responding, shots were reported from inside the home. Police established a perimeter and negotiated with Ojeda for several hours. Officers later entered the residence. During the entry, officers opened fire and shot Ojeda. He died from his injuries. The shooting was reviewed by a grand jury, which cleared the officers involved. No officers were charged.
