OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/10/2021 at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of gunfire at a residence on Hambric Road in Jasper. A caller reported an argument involving family members and shots being fired. Deputies located Gregory Hambric at the scene. Police stated that Hambric did not comply with commands and remained confrontational. Deputies opened fire and shot Hambric. He died from his injuries. The shooting was placed under investigation. No deputies were charged.
