On 06/15/2021, Riverside County sheriff’s deputies pursued Juan Miguel Bejar after locating him on Interstate 215 near Ethanac Road. Reporting stated deputies were attempting to detain Bejar in connection with an earlier alleged assault with a deadly weapon in Ventura County. After the pursuit stopped, deputies confronted Bejar outside his vehicle. Police reported that Bejar was holding a gun during the encounter.
