On 06/22/2021, police responded to a call from a woman who reported that she feared her son, Willie T. Salazar, was going to kill her at an apartment on Vine Street in Murray. Officers arrived at the location and encountered Salazar outside the apartment. Police engaged Salazar during the response. According to police statements, Salazar fired shots toward officers.
