OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 08/26/2021, a Palmer police officer attempted to stop a speeding motorcycle near the Alaska State Fairgrounds. Police stated the motorcycle continued driving and police escalated a chase that moved into Wasilla, with Wasilla police joining. Police stated the chase ended near Church Rd and Spruce Ave, where Radle-Maxson stopped and reached toward what officers believed was a handgun. Officers opened fire and killed him. Police later stated the object was a full size BB gun designed to resemble a handgun.
