On 10/05/2021, Tucson police responded to a report that a man had pointed a weapon at another person at a residence on East Fort Lowell Road. Police stated officers encountered Monte Lorenzo Laster and ordered him to drop the weapon. Police alleged Laster fired toward officers. Officer Michael Cooper opened fire and killed Laster.
