On 12/18/2021, Los Angeles Police responded to a domestic violence call at a residence on Wall Street where dispatch information indicated Rosendo Olivio held a knife and expressed suicidal statements. Officers contacted him outside the residence while he possessed the knife and issued commands. Police reported he moved toward officers while holding the knife. Officers opened fire and struck him. He died near the residence. Civil litigation was filed by family members and investigative review remained pending in public reporting.
