On 12/16/2021, Clinton Police responded to reports of two stabbings and located Christopher Anthony Alexander running along the roadway near 1700 North and 1300 West. Officers opened fire during the encounter and struck him. He died on the roadway. Authorities initiated investigation of the use of force and reported no criminal charges against officers.
