OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 11/21/2021, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies on patrol were directed to a Metro platform near the 11600 block of Willowbrook Avenue after reports that a person had been shot there. Deputies located Anthony Hollenbeck on the platform while he was holding a firearm and moved to confront him. Deputies fired their weapons and struck him, and he died at the scene. Reporting indicated another individual had been killed shortly before deputies arrived and investigators used surveillance video and witness statements to reconstruct the sequence of events during the encounter and the preceding fatal shooting.
