OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 12/15/2021, Anderson County deputies attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Brandon Mauldin based on outstanding warrants. Mauldin continued driving and deputies chased the vehicle to a dead end behind a residence on Queen Anne Lane where the truck became stuck. Deputies exited their vehicles and issued commands. Officers opened fire during the confrontation and struck him. He died behind the residence. Authorities initiated review of the shooting and reported no criminal charges against deputies.
