OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 02/15/2021, San Diego County deputies responded to a shooting at a residence on the 15700 block of Lyons Valley Rd where an adult male had been wounded. A second armed individual barricaded himself inside the home, prompting deputies and SWAT personnel to establish containment and attempt resolution for more than sixteen hours. Tactical personnel ultimately entered and located the individual deceased in the attic from an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. The death occurred during the extended standoff environment following law enforcement containment and negotiation efforts.
