OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :

On 09/08/2021, Chicago Police responded to a report of a man barricaded inside a hotel room in the 6000 block of North Lincoln Avenue. Police called a SWAT team. Police later said they entered the room and found Roberto Andino, 52, dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound. Reporting tied the standoff to a Kenosha, Wisconsin homicide investigation in which Andino had been publicly identified as a person of interest or primary suspect. An autopsy later ruled Andino’s death a suicide. Weapon status was based on police statements and subsequent reporting that described a self inflicted gunshot wound.
