On 06/11/2021, Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by David O’Donnell Reagan on East Pike Road near Cambridge. Reagan did not stop and police escalated a pursuit. After the vehicle came to a stop, troopers confronted Reagan and opened fire during the encounter. Reagan died at the scene. Reporting indicated the incident followed an attempted traffic enforcement stop and was investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
