OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 06/05/2021, Brookhaven police responded to a reported assault involving injuries at a home on Commons Circle, identified Jermaine Maree, 42, as the person accused, and obtained warrants. Officers located him at a home on Colt Drive, where he remained inside for hours while SWAT and negotiators tried to get him to come out. When police entered, they found him dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound, and the GBI was asked to investigate.
