On 04/01/2021, law enforcement surrounded a motel room on Sidco Drive in Nashville where Michael Lynn Tucker was located after being sought in connection with multiple shootings in Memphis days earlier. U.S. Marshals attempted to contact him, and shots were fired through the door from inside the room. Negotiators tried for hours to secure surrender. Officers breached the room and found Tucker dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
