Houston PD tried to traffic-stop a vehicle that kept driving. Houston PD escalated the chase to 100 mph until the fleeing vehicle crashed into a 19-year-old Latino man and killed him. Police did not state what the dire emergency was that might justify the fatal chase on a busy public street which cost a bystander his life and instead plan to charge the fleeing man with homicide, as is customary in the American justice system.

Eureka PD attempted a traffic stop. The man, described only as a 31-year-old male, fled and ran on foot into the back of a library. Las Vegas Metro PD were called to the 3900 block of Landsdown Place in Las Vegas for a man who may have a knife. Police allege that they arrived and the “man refused to follow commands”, so they shot and killed him. No BWC footage so far. It is unknown whether the man had a chance to cooperate as the shooting allegedly happened very quickly upon making contact.

Matthew Moshi was a third-party motorist driving through the intersection of Hill Road and Hilliard Rome Road in Prairie Township when he was hit at high speed by a police chase and killed. Police had hunted a stolen Kia into his path.

As initially reported, Virginia Beach PD chased a man into a body of water where he drowned and died. It is unknown why he was chased. Media later claimed a person in civilian clothing chased him. His identity has not been disclosed. When police were called if the drowning was a result of the police chase, they said they did not know. While the man’s identity is withheld by police secrecy, it is confirmed that he was being chased when he disappeared into a river at night and was found drowned the next day.

Albuquerque PD chased a shoplifter in a sting police called “Operation Sticky Fingers.” Loss prevention detectives at Kohl’s and Albuquerque PD saw a couple stealing retail items inside of Kohl’s and took up chase. Police said he “produced some sort of gun” and they shot and killed him. Police did not identify what the alleged weapon was.

Pedro Barrera, a gardener from Compton was driving on Artesia and Long Beach Boulevard near Compton when LAPD ran a high-speed police chase that crashed into him, severing his left arm and landing him in the ICU. He died 2 months later from his injuries.

Iris Danea Billy was a pedestrian on the road when a deputy hit and killed her. The deputy fled the scene but was dispatched to the accident scene shortly after that when someone reported a body on the road. Officer Joshua Anderson pretended not to know anything about the fatal crash. A piece of his bumper was found at the crash scene. When he went home, Anderson removed the bumper. Police arrested him the next day.

A Nye County deputy pursued a robbery call and came upon Joshua Reese. Reese allegedly ran away on foot and the officer caught up with him and attacked and tried to subdue him. The officer alleges that Reese pulled his gun out of his holster. A fight over the gun ensued and the deputy shot and killed Reese.

Four teenage boys took a Ford Fusion that had been left in a driveway with the keys in and went on a joyride. When police spotted them and tried to stop them, 17-year-old driver Andreas Davis fled. Marion County deputies escalated a chase and the Ford crashed. Andreas Davis died shortly after in the hospital. Three teens ages 14 and 15 fled, were arrested and one is being charged with grand theft of motor vehicle, resisting arrest and other charges.

Police chased a man into the path of third party motorist Alisa Ruffin, killing her in a massive crash as she was driving down the street.

Police allege that they had chased a speeding driver who had not stopped for them, blaming the crash on him but police failed to explain why a speeding vehicle without other crimes of an urgent or violent nature was the reason police state for escalating a chase that endangered the public and killed an uninvolved bystander.

A DPS trooper allegedly tried to stop a Kia with 6 people in it but the vehicle did not stop. Police escalated a chase to high speeds that ended when the vehicle crashed while being chased. Two people died and 4 others were transported to hospitals. The vehicle was reportedly chased for a traffic violation. Police did not indicate what the urgency in their investigation was which would warrant a fatal chase and expose the public to this risk over a traffic infraction and failure to stop in traffic alone.

At a McDonald’s at drive-through, 4 police cars surrounded a black vehicle. The vehicle was in the line and when swarmed by police while waiting for a food order. A police vehicle reportedly deliberately ran into the black vehicles. The vehicle fled at high speed with a very aggressive police chase after it.

An eyewitness described that it sounded like a bomb going off when the vehicle crashed into a white Mercedes at such high speeds due to the chase that one of the vehicle split in half. Four people in the Mercedes including 2 children were taken away, reportedly injured and in unknown condition. The engine of the Mercedes was found outside of the car 30 feet away.

One person was declared dead at the scene. Four others were injured with some having to be cut out of the vehicles. A crushed bicycle was seen at the scene with a bicyclist becoming the fifth injured person also hit by the police chase and being transported to the hospital in unknown condition.

Conway PD and Faulkner County deputies arrived to the residence of Allen Seibert on Old Morrilton Highway where they allege that he opened the door with a gun. They shot and killed him. Police did not say why they raided the home. It is also unknown whether Seibert had known they were police as opening the door to loud noises while holding a gun is not uncommon in rural Arkansas. Police have not explained what happened so far. Seibert had previously been arrested for tax evasion and being involved in a gambling operation in 2017.

A 911 caller in Franklin told police she was unharmed but her neighbor was making noise and may be trying to smash through her door. Police arrived and allege that the man had tried to shoot at the door and they called SWAT. A shelter-in-place order was called. Thick black smoke emanated from the apartment. It is not known whether the man or possible SWAT munitions caused the smoke. Police fired shots and the man fired back. When the smoke cleared, he was found shot to death. It is unknown how many SWAT and other officers fired shots at him.
