On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a 911 call reporting a man in the roadway brandishing a firearm on Route 534 in Southington. Upon arrival officers approached the man. Shots were fired by officers. He was transported to University Hospital in Portage County where he later died.

The incident originated when a caller reported being concerned for their safety. Lindner had a documented history of past violence including a 2019 case in which his then-wife photographed him pointing a handgun at her. That case was dismissed. Lindner was the son of Carl Lindner III who is widely known for owning the Cincinnati Reds and serving as co-CEO of American Financial Group.

On 11/14/2025, officers responded to a residential alarm at a home on Reservoir Road NW. After repeated commands for Kevin Booker to exit the home officers entered through an unlocked door. While clearing the second floor Booker advanced toward officers while holding a knife and a screwdriver and an officer opened fire and killed him.

On 11/14/2025 officers responded to a home on the 6700 block of Lakewood Drive after shots were reported inside the residence. The scene was later determined to involve a murder-suicide inside the home. Also during the initial response an officer fired his gun.

On 11/14/2025 at about 3 a.m. officers attempted to stop a man riding a bicycle on the sidewalk for a city ordinance violation. The man fled on foot into the area of Elmendorf Lake and was pursued briefly by officers. He jumped into the lake and disappeared under the surface. Officers heard distress sounds and one entered the water but lost sight of him. His body was recovered later by Texas Game Wardens.

On 11/13/2025 a man fled from a shoplifting incident at an Aldi store in Gates. He ran onto Interstate 390 where he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The agency and involved officers are investigating the circumstances.

On 11/13/2025 just before 7 p.m., officers with the NYPD encountered a 20-year-old man on the Upper East Side after reports that he pointed a firearm at a person in an apartment building elevator and at a deli worker. He then threatened to shoot up a hospital. He fired at officers and a shootout followed. He was shot by officers, transported to hospital, and pronounced dead.

On 11/13/2025, officers from the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office attempted to detain Dennis Hoie in Bagley under a felony warrant. Hoie drove away during the stop and a pursuit followed. Police located him at his home yard in Bagley. During contact with law enforcement the situation escalated and officers fired their weapons, striking Hoie. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. •

On 11/12/2025 shortly before 3:00 a.m., a Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on a 2016 Chevrolet Trax for an equipment violation near US 51 and Velma Road. The driver, Trey Ramey, fled from the scene and fired multiple shots at responding officers. A carjacking followed of a 2015 Toyota Camry. In the pursuit the stolen vehicle crashed and Ramey fled on foot into a wooded area. During the foot‐pursuit a Trooper discharged their service weapon and Ramey was struck by gunfire and transported to a local hospital where he later died.

On 11/11/2025, a Conroe Independent School District Police officer driving a patrol car on North Loop 336 East attempted a left turn across traffic and struck Patrick Freeland, who was traveling southbound on a motorcycle. The collision threw him from the motorcycle and he died from his injuries. Officials stated the investigation is pending.

On 11/11/2025, 20-year-old Dalyn Elder of Augusta was pronounced dead at 8:15 a.m. after being hospitalized following a shoot-out with deputies on 10/02/2025. The incident began when deputies responded to a robbery at a gas station on Washington Road, and Elder who was not one of the robbery suspects fled and opened fire on deputies. One deputy sustained gunshot wounds. Elder remained hospitalized until his death.

On 11/11/2025, 48-year-old Jose Reynaldo Lombera was shot and killed by police in Redwood City, California, following a standoff in the 200 block of Hazel Avenue. On 11/11/2025, 62-year-old Paul Maraio shot and killed two of his neighbors in the Tropical East community of Port St. Lucie, Florida. After the shootings, Maraio entered another home and took a 77-year-old woman hostage, holding her for over an hour while barricaded inside. Police responded with SWAT teams, drones, K-9 units, and crisis negotiators. During the standoff, Maraio told negotiators he had shot himself in the chest. Drone footage confirmed his injury, and officers entered the home and transported him to the hospital, where he died early the next morning. On November 10, 2025, at about 3:45 p.m., Kentucky State Police received a call that a man was firing a weapon in a threatening manner at his home. The 37-year-old man, Terry Carney Jr., left in his truck, rammed a deputy’s cruiser while the deputy attempted to stop him, and fled. Officers pursued until his truck ran off the road in the 400 block of Woodlawn Road. He exited the truck, opened fire on the officers, and officers returned fire. He died at the scene.

On 11/10/2025, 52-year-old Anthony Mingo died by suicide two days after he was pursued by Wake County Sheriff’s deputies and North Carolina State Troopers in a high-speed chase through eastern Wake County. Authorities reported that Mingo had been in a mental-health crisis before the pursuit. He was later found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside a vehicle at an unspecified location in Raleigh.

On 11/10/2025, 28-year-old Kevin Fajardo died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound as officers executed a search warrant at a home on the 1200 block of Walnut Street in West Des Moines. Fajardo had been identified as being involved in an October 26 shooting in Des Moines that seriously injured a 16-year-old girl. Officers announced their presence before entering and used a distraction device. After forcing entry, they found Fajardo dead with a firearm equipped with an automatic-fire conversion device nearby. The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting in the investigation.

On 11/08/2025, Scott Forrest was shot and killed by Tulsa Police after a standoff inside an apartment near W 21st Street and Route 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Officers responded around 12:15 p.m. to a domestic violence call in which a woman reported being held hostage by Forrest, who was armed with a .40-caliber pistol. During the standoff, Forrest fired multiple rounds at officers through a wall, narrowly missing one of them. Negotiators spoke with him for several hours before Forrest appeared at a window with a gun in hand, and officers opened fire. The hostage was rescued unharmed, and one officer sustained minor injuries from debris.

On 11/07/2025, the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a wellbeing check at the Comfort Inn in Whitehall Township concerning a 37-year-old man from Mears. Deputies located him inside the room with visible self-inflicted injuries. One deputy retrieved medical supplies while another stayed with the subject, who then charged a deputy armed with a box cutter. The deputy fired their handgun, striking the man multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On 11/7/2025, a man called for help at a downtown Nashville Greyhound bus terminal and stated he was “feeling violent.” Officers from the Metro Nashville Police Department responded and encountered the man, who reportedly told them he had a gun and reached into a backpack. Both officers fired, killing him. When the backpack was searched later, no gun was found.

On 11/07/2025, deputies with the Houston County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Chapelwood Drive in Dothan, Alabama, during an eviction attempt. The man inside barricaded himself and set the residence on fire. After a standoff, a single gunshot was heard from within the burning home. Deputies later found the man dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
