On 01/01/2022, Allen County Sheriff’s Department deputies went to the 10000 block of Hickory Tree Road in Fort Wayne. Deputies encountered 34-year-old Blake Stephen Parton at the residence. Deputies reported that Parton fired a gun during the incident. Authorities later determined that Parton died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound during the encounter. Officials classified the death as a suicide that occurred during a police response.
