On 01/09/2022, law enforcement officers searching for 52-year-old Kenneth Larry Strange located him at a residence in Alachua County, Florida. Strange was wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of an EMT in Lexington, Kentucky days earlier. As officers closed in on the residence, Strange shot himself. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities classified the death as a suicide that occurred while officers attempted to take him into custody.
