OPEN RECORDS SUMMARY :
On 03/25/2022, Shawano County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a domestic disturbance in the 8000 block of Oak Avenue in the Town of Richmond near Shawano. Deputies arrived and encountered an adult male during the incident. According to authorities, the man shot a woman at the scene and then fired toward a responding deputy. The deputy exchanged gunfire with the man. Both the man and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation led the investigation. Later reporting indicated the male died from a self inflicted gunshot wound during the exchange.
