On 03/26/2022, South Fulton Police Department officers responded to a reported murder and missing person call at a home in the 3400 block of Sable Chase Lane. Officers entered the residence and located a woman deceased from a gunshot wound. Police identified Kenneth Southern as the suspect and found him barricaded in the attic of the home. Cadillac Police officers traffic-stopped a vehicle driving without headlights early Saturday on South Mitchel Street. Two men in the vehicle admitted to alcohol use including the driver. The driver left the scene. Police escalated a chase until the vehicle crashed into a wall, a parked car and tree with both men running away. Drugs, guns and cash were found. The passenger was not located but the injured driver was taken to the hospital where he died of what police allege may have been drugs ingested during the arrest.

Kokomo officers were called to the Dollar General in the 1200 block of North Washington Street after a car had crashed into the building. Brian "Scotty" Doddleft the store and stopped in 400 block of West Jefferson Street, was agitated, yelled, made unspecified verbal threats and drove off again. He crashed into 2 parked cars nearby and was found unconscious in the car and later died. Autopsy showed that he died of blunt force trauma to the chest, a result of the police chase crash.
